Quick geometry lesson: Hypotrochoids and epitrochoids are curves defined by tracing a point attached to a circle that’s rolling along the inside or outside of a fixed circle, respectively. Spirographs use this concept to create mesmerizing geometric patterns.
The Papel WDT™ employs 15 needles, each with a 0.30mm diameter, to trace dozens of hypotrochoids and epitrochoids through the mounded coffee grounds in your 49mm, 54mm, 57mm and 58mm portafilter basket. This mechanical motion distributes and fluffs the grounds in seconds, ensuring consistency no matter how early in the morning it is. The increased needle count, compared to competitors, enhances distribution performance, elevating your espresso enjoyment.

i picked this seller’s version of this style wdt tool purely for the 57mm option. so i dont really understand the point of providing a 57mm option if the device sent will just be the 58mm size. just combine the two options.
the device ends up being oversized which causes it to slide about in use. can be corrected with some spacers.
sure, while there is some info about sizing and compatibility, it probably needs to more transparent about the actual size that will be sent. as to me it sounded like the seller use to only offer 58 and then branched out to more sizes, but then didnt for 57? im not sure. but thats probably on me for not clarifying with the seller.

The only feedbag i would give is that the magnets don’t quite the porterfilter of the cafelat robot perfectly, thus the basket is slightly off centre when attached. Not sure if this affects the quality of wdt, but the ocd in me has noticed.
