Some comments:
1) Edges were pretty sharp, could use a pass with a belt to smooth them out.
2) I added some #10 washers to hold things together a bit better. The sizing of the grooves to the screw head was too close.
3) The design does not create more headroom for a cup, since its still fairly tall overall. It does however make things way more convenient by under-mounting the scale.
